Green
Green is boring. Sorry that's a bit too mean.
Let's try this again.
Green is a movie about a love triangle, then things happen, a second act occurs, and then the movie ends. Suffice it to say I was pretty underwhelmed with this film. You know the thing is I actually really do like always shine I like it a lot actually, so when I had found out that there was another film directed by Sophia Takal I went out of my way to try and find a copy of this film and watch it. Boy oh boy oh boy, was I disappointed. I mean on a technical level this film kind of looks like a student film, and I believe it was on the very small budget so that does make sense. I guess the thing that is most disappointing to me is that there wasn't a lot of well-done execution with both the plot and the actual pacing of the film. 15 minutes felt like 45 minutes, there is a thing I never really do when watching a movie and that is check the time. With this movie I was always constantly checking the time to see how much time and actually really passed because it felt as though not a lot happened. Now you may say that I just don't understand the film or that I don't get what it's trying to say thematically, but let's be honest here it really is just boring.
Now here is the positive about this movie, for the most part is actually pretty well done and some dialogue here is pretty well done as well only problem is that there is no real sense of direction and that there is no proper pacing. Also there are a lot of scenes with very terrible dubbing. I mean there really isn't a lot for me to really dig into with this film it is just a love triangle about a person who moves from the city to the countryside and her boyfriend husband fiance something is starting to get more attracted to this country girl then her, so there's this sense of betrayal that happens and then you know things happen and then the film ends. There really isn't anything that I walked away with that I didn't feel before and I feel like that is kind of a shame as I really do like the director with what she's done recently.
I am comfortable giving this about a 5/10
