Lost Highway

Wow, Lost Highway is an amazing film! I think it has just the right amount of surrealism, without overdoing it, and you can still tell what the film is trying to say and what it's a metaphor for. I really love the atmosphere of the vibe in the film; it's immaculate. The sound design, soundtrack, score, and anything related to noise in this film were also perfect. I also think that it was really creative and well thought out, and I love how these surreal horror films allow for so many more thematically rich, thought-provoking ideas, since the rules of our real world don't restrain you. I also think David Lynch's directing was perfect and enhanced the vibe. I know that a lot of people didn't like the film's coldness or emotionlessness, but that just enhanced the eerie vibe for me. I feel like the film is hypnotizing in a way I've never seen before. I also just think it has a perfect mix of style and substance. Overall, it’s a hypnotic and thematically rich masterpiece that pulls you into its eerie, unforgettable world and leaves you haunted in the best way possible.
