Sinners
Sinners is a beautifully shot, well-acted, well-written, epic horror movie with a big soul and heart that feels like it's trying to crawl out of the screen. It deals with multiple themes well, and it's the best version of what it could have been. It's a fully realized, amazing movie that feels epic in scale and big in scope. It does everything it sets out to do perfectly. When people say good original films don't exist anymore, I will point to this one, along with many others, as amazing examples of why original films still come out. This movie will show everyone why movies are worth falling in love with, and will remind movie fans who are losing their way, why they fell in love with movies in the first place. I especially appreciate how it takes its time in the first hour getting us used to these characters and their personalities, so when they die, it feels more sad. I would have watched 2 more hours of this if it were 4 hours, since it's so gripping and hooking.
