The acting is significantly worse and it kind of dampens the whole run for me. Though I understand the film’s existence, nothing about the remake is specifically better or more unique compared to the 1997 version besides that it’s practically a shot for shot replica which I appreciate. Most American adaptations will seriously censor a movie’s content (*Goodnight Mommy *2022 the movie you could have been ugh).
