Notes on a Scandal

I could keep talking about barbara’s character for hours but I’ll keep it brief.. also I’m talking from my own perspective so I do realize a lot of people may see it as inaccurate but that’s my own take. Barbara’s character is so complicated and I’m yearning to understand her way of thinking, she’s sadistic at least emotionally because tell me why did she adore seeing someone she “loves” in this situation that SHE put her in? Also since the movie started I felt how she already wanted to hold something on sheba like.. also barbara is VERY possessive at some point I thought she was madly in love with sheba seriously what’s going on? Why does she ADOREE the idea of being in control? I really want to understand herBonus point: I adore the fact that sheba’s husband was mad about the fact that she groomed a minor not that she cheated, he was a victim too of sheba’s manipulation and I stand by it!
