***THE MIGHTIEST MOTION PICTURE OF THEM ALL *🦑 ** > *"Eat your pudding, Mr. Land."* > > *"I ain't sure it's puddin'."* What I enjoyed most were the breathtaking shots of the underwater world and those wonderfully unique diving suits. The practical effects and underwater sequences were especially impressive considering the movie was made in 1954. The story itself, however, was very different from what I had imagined. I was very young when I first heard about this story, and for the longest time I thought it was about a hidden world located 20,000 leagues beneath the sea, rather than a journey of 20,000 leagues in a submarine. Well... that’s what childhood imagination can do to you. ***Got a whale of a tale to tell ya, lads A whale of a tale or two 'Bout the flappin' fish and the girls I've loved On nights like this with the moon above***

***NO GOING BACK *🥏 ** > *"Being human is hard. The things that make life great are the same things that make it excruciating, like... love. Loss."* They really wanted to tell a story about an AI becoming human and learning to feel emotions, and then cast Jared Leto, a man who seems physically incapable of showing any emotions. They try to counteract this by making his visor transparent every five seconds, just so we can at least get a glimpse of a facial expression, because apparently there’s nothing else coming from him. Unfortunately, this doesn’t even help, because it just takes away from what the movie does best: the incredible visuals and costumes. Why hide one of the coolest-looking parts of the movie just to show us a completely emotionless face? Just look at [Andrew Garfield](https://boxd.it/3YSF) for example, who managed to make you understand exactly what Spider-Man is feeling in every single moment without even seeing his face behind the mask (especially in [The Amazing Spider-Man 2](https://boxd.it/3utM), when Gwen Stacy shows up at the power station and Peter nearly loses his mind). That’s when you realize there are actors, and then there are people who just pretend or wish to be. ***All the things you do to me And everything you said I just can't get enough I just can't get enough***

***THE GAME HAS CHANGED *🏍️ ** > *"The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships? motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day... I got in."* This movie has Daft Punk and that alone is enough to make it special. They created one of the greatest soundtracks I’ve ever heard, and their music fits the world of Tron absolutely perfectly. The entire movie feels elevated by the soundtrack, and I could listen to it forever. And on top of that, we get one of the greatest cameo appearances of all time. Seeing Daft Punk themselves casually sitting behind the DJ booth was just perfect. Oh, and I completely fell in love with Quorra. ***Someday love will find you Break those chains that bind you One night will remind you How we touched and went our separate ways*** ** **

***A WORLD INSIDE THE COMPUTER WHERE MAN HAS NEVER BEEN. NEVER BEFORE NOW *🎮 ** > *"Who's that guy?"* > > *"That's Tron. He fights for the Users."* A beautiful movie with an incredible aesthetic. The visuals still look fantastic, especially considering this was made in 1982. Of course they look videogame-ish. But that's exactly what this movie is about. Yori would probably be some kind of cheat client if she existed in real life, considering how she kissed both Tron and Flynn. ***Don't pull me down, I just wanna hear Only solutions Oh it won't be long, it won't take too long Only solutions***
