I don’t think this movie should get shit on as much as it does, I was interested throughout the whole movie. It’s not spectacular and it doesn’t have immense depth in story and characters however seeing how the meaning of the movie was shaped by that end conversation Hal had with his future wife made this an even better watch and I loved the battle.

…All that hype for what? throughout the whole movie i was either bored or confused, the characters lacked depth to the point where i didnt care what happened to either of them. its just so bland and nothing really happened other than a big worm trying to eat people that i dont care about!!

i loved the silence between them and i resonated with how the characters felt about their life, but still overall nothing special and kinda boring. i feel like i could find comfort in this movie though
