Hamnet
i don’t think i’ve ever seen absence portrayed this tangibly before.
the emotional magnitude of this film is immense, but what truly devastated me was the way it portrays grief: almost unbearably human.
the silence after hamnet’s death made the loss feel painfully real - empty, uncomfortable, almost suffocating, like someone was missing from the world itself.
the absence of music in the middle section was such a respectful and painful choice. it felt like the film itself was struggling to breathe.
the silence of grief weighed more than any soundtrack ever could.
