i wanted to love this but it fell short. stop motion is beautifully done and i have to give it credit for keeping that art form alive. there are some genuine moments of good storytelling and funny dialogue. but it feels mostly like a generic kids movie with a predictable plot.

robert patison is great, the way itβs shot is very A24 which is a good thing if you ask me. but not really left with an interesting series of events or message. feels forgettable

expected more here, but not bad π€π€< new hobby is doing hearts like this
