Apophenia
Stunning, marvelous, remarkable. The sickly yellow walls in the office space, and the warm tones of the ceiling lights truly capture the sense of entrapment the business world creates, where the corporate ladder overtakes priority in the mortals mind, as the hierarchy of priorities and needs sees itself affected by the unnaturality of office work. The mise-en-scene goes above and beyond, captivating a niche hard to replicate without true understanding of the reality under which our protagonists exist, placing it toe to toe with the most masterful period pieces in their achievements. Stellar performances captured beautifully by a director of photography with a clear vision and understanding for what is required and important to communicate to the audience. The editing truly grasps into the kuleshovian theory and trusts its audience in every moment through out. I can’t imagine how incredible the crew behind this production must have been from the directors to the writers, and cannot wait to see what their future works will provide to the world of motion picture. With only one movie under their belt, i can see how each crew members body of work will transcend what is known, and how each one of them is headed towards greatness.
