Who decided Orm can kick the Justice League’s ass just as much as Darkseid did? I need to talk to them and kill them Throne of Atlantis is just fine. I wanted a break from the Bond films and I wanted to complete the “Justice League” collection Letterboxd was showing me in my stats. Not nearly as enjoyable or interesting as Flashpoint or War. It feels so lacking of the Justice League even though they’re in majority of the runtime, they’re weaker than shit, Aquaman doesn’t even use the trident at all he’s just throwing haymakers, and for some god awful reason they made Clark and Diana have a romantic relationship even with Lois Lane in the picture. The animation hasn’t changed though, I like how simplistic it is while looking better than some modern day animation…I’m looking at you Invincible. The Atlantis and overall ocean visuals are very unique. It’s not a rushed story, gets you from Point A to Point B in a timely manner that the other films achieve as well. Every voice fits the character, except Batman’s, he sounds a bit rough in this film. The action scenes, especially the final fight between land and sea is enjoyable as all the members get to showcase their abilities. If this was 20 minutes longer, I think it could’ve been way better with more development of Arthur’s past and Atlantis as a whole even with the story we already have not being rushed. It’s an extremely underwhelming follow up to the amazing story that was Justice League War because it’s so hard to top Darkseid and the dynamics all the Justice League had between each other as they were all meeting for the first time. Not bad by any means, sorta rewatchable, I wouldn’t skip it if you’re thinking of watching the films from this animated universe. Live, laugh, love…Orm’s battle suit design. You may not like it, but I liked it and I really enjoyed how he looked in the 2018 movie.

Bond could seduce Cleopatra if he wanted to Possibly controversial opinion but…this is better than GoldenEye. I know, I know, sounds like I’m disrespecting the Bible but Tomorrow Never Dies is one hell of a blast that’s pretty consistent through its 2+ hour runtime. Bond is classic Bond, shoddy punch SFX, banging every woman he comes across, and saves the day like a total badass at the last second. I believe it’s a total upgrade from GoldenEye, a perfect spy story through and through with a fun focus on corrupt news media which is very prevalent in today’s world. Without a doubt some sequences in this film inspired Mission Impossible, not the series as a whole, which probably did get some ideas from James Bond, but 100% the underwater boat sequence was matched in Final Reckoning. I think that’s why I enjoy this much more than GoldenEye, it’s more action packed and feels very much like a Mission Impossible film. My main critique of this film is how little the side characters are utilized, that’s where GoldenEye wins a point. Some of the best side characters from the first film get 5 minutes or less of screen time, and those characters helped contrast the Bond character but also help showcase the inner workings of the government. My other small critique is that the action set pieces feel much smaller compared to GoldenEye, and instead try to mimic certain action scenes on a smaller scale that couldn’t even match what was done in GoldenEye. Live, laugh, love…Bond’s linguistic diversity. If you wanna bag every woman, you need to know every language.

When your goat is washed 💔 Die Another Day is a disappointing, mind-numbing, unnatural mess that is a sad end to Pierce Brosnan’s run as 007. Not once is the true identity of the previous films showcased, and all the wackiness goes haywire in this entry, with not a single coherent story beat and villains that the Power Rangers are likely to fight. The previous installments were fun spy flicks that felt grounded just the right amount, but unfortunately Die Another Day feels like a grown-up version of Spy Kids, with the same CGI that looks like a video game tie-in. Pierce Brosnan barely feels like Bond in this, all his development in the 3 films before went down the drain. It’s like when Mortal Kombat 11 made all the protagonists old which makes their personalities super different from their first appearance but this film does it in an uncool and bad way. And it ends the exact same way the other films do, having sex, and there’s no satisfying conclusion between any of the characters we’ve grown to love over the 4 films. Halle Berry is fine as Jinx, better sidekick than Christmas, but I was okay without her. Her best scenes were when she was first introduced. Frost is the most boring love interest Bond has ever had, literally a slop character only needed to have Halle Berry fight someone at the end. And the opening scene sucks in comparison to all other Brosnan openings. Live, laugh, love…the invisible car. The film is so bad I can only compliment the car. MY BOY SAID HE IN THE ASTON DOING DONUUUUUUTS!

Bond, that’s enough, I want you stop sleeping with younger women. It’s getting excessive. The World is Not Enough is definitely the weakest Pierce Brosnan Bond film so far, it falls off after the first off, the villains are annoying (in a bad way) and boring, and gets very predictable near the end that it has no chance of coming close to GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies. The first half is what saves this film from being a snooze fest. Amazing set pieces. Quirky dialogue and the fun inclusion of MI6. A real testosterone booster that becomes like estrogen once Christmas Jones becomes Bond’s sidekick. I’m not trying to be sexist, but Christmas is the most useless sidekick that Bond has had so far and is only used so they can have sex at the end and make a Christmas joke or two. Renard is 007’s definition of wasted potential. A man who was shot in the head, survived, and now can’t feel anything. You think that’d make for an epic villain, being able to withstand anything. But no, the most of his powers is only explained through dialogue that’s poorly written and is barely showcased in a physical way it’s easy to forget he’s like that. Elektra is the most obvious use of her character that it’s sad because she was very fun in the first half, a fun foil to Bond, but once her true intentions came out, she was reduced to a generic goon basically. Pierce Brosnan still does a fantastic job as Bond. He persists with his personality across all the films so far and feels like the exact same character while some decisions feel stupid. Each film he’s more daring and willing to put his life on the line for others, even people he’s barely met. The boat chase and ski chase were some of the most epic chase sequences I’ve ever seen without the use of firearms, it was excellent display of using Bond’s other spy attributes. I’m excited to see his conclusion in Die Another Day. Live, laugh, love…Bond’s pervert glasses. Yeah sure…you’re just looking for the guys’ guns, not see through women’s dresses you sly dog Bond.
