This is a wonderful movie, very fun to watch with family. The story is full of hope and humility, which is honestly one of its best traits. Ryan Gosling did an amazing job portraying the funny, cowardly/heroic scientist, and I found the portrayal of the alien really amusing to watch. Very full of emotions and honesty a bit new to me. The pacing was a bit off in parts of the movie, I was really bored but it picks up immediately afterwards. In all, that was a good watch. Nothing can save you but the power of friendship, jokes, and Astrophage. Also, I need the “I had potential” t-shirt, seriously.

A beautifully shot movie, yet it is nothing like Wuthering Heights; it’s an entirely different story. Should the director have chosen different names for the characters it would’ve been a decent movie. I can’t accept Wuthering heights being degraded to such a level of shallowness. Some scenes were shot like a music video rather than a movie and it was a bit annoying. They captured a sense of the yearning the novel carried, I will give them that but it was nothing like it though. I enjoyed it to be honest, Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie portrayed Cathy and Heathcliff, who Fennell wrote well. If I were to judge the movie based on its accuracy to the novel it would really be less than one star But as a standalone movie on its own without the failed interpretation, it’s a two and half for me.
