Memento Amoris i mean... shot on an iPhone 15 Pro Max. are you kidding me?! a movie with so many damn ideas and it finds a way to leave you with one of the most impactful messages from an apocalyptic/zombie movie ive seen. love the editing with its snappy, freeze shots reckoning back to 28 days. the gore and violence is on another level here, almost like Boyle is yelling at you to lock the fuck in. one of the best action sequences of the year (!!!!) without a doubt at the end of the first act. pretty ambitious to have all three acts tell their own story and focus on different themes. from toxic masculinity, deceitfulness, family dynamics, grief, spirituality... its loaded yet finds a safe landing on the runway.
