"I have found the meaning, dear Emily. Goodbye, my dear one."

With the new Wurthering Heights movie release, I was reminded to watch this Warner Bros. Picture from **1946**, all about the Brontë family. Starring two very strong leading ladies that kinda save the whole film in itself, Ida Lupino and Olivia de Havilland.
Supposedly Joan Fontaine was meant to play along side her sister Olivia as Emily Brontë, although due to their 'feuding' they didn't go through with that... but I honestly would've loved to have seen that played out, actual sisters playing sisters– I think that maybe would've gave this movie a more relatable feel rather than the odd wooden moments that were had.
But I do find it funny that in the end Joan Fontaine played Jane Eryre and Olivia de Havilland played the author (In seperate pictures obviously), and that's about the closest they've ever got to having some sort of relation publicly...
Also– this is movie 39/51 of watching every movie Olivia de Havilland did during her massive critically aclaimed career. Here's a top five favourites of hers that I feel you should watch if you're wanting to get into Olivia's filmography as much as I did:
**1. The Strawberry Blonde
2. The Snake Pit
3. The Heiress
4. It's Love I'm After
5. To Each His Own**
