Love the vague immigrant troupe. The Firish are every immigrant who migrated to America at the same time but I think this helped me accept that they are not at all because they’re literally anthropomorphic fire and that’s why they also don’t wear clothes the same way people do. They’re their own thing. The animation was NUTSSSS! Looked so real like if this was really happening that’s what it would look like.

Tear worthy writing! The Weaver family has such a painful dynamic I love so badly when characters can both be wrong and right in an argument that’s truly my metric for good writing lol.  Loved the shocking reveal that Nanna was Hannah how fun was that The end of the second act tied together so well and chaotically what a great way to lose all hope Still reeling from Jessica gifting Robbie a nudie at 8th grade graduation like tf did she even bring that picture for 😭😭😭😭?? That one part aged pretty terribly but overall I love a movie where two people love each other so much but can’t stop hurting each other it’s gonna do it for me every time
