Kiki
An inspiring documentary by (perhaps) an even more inspiring director. It offers a mature yet youthful look into the New York gay Voguing 'Scene' exposing the varied and intelligent voices in the community - it's more than RuPauls. Jordenö is an outsider, yet is immersed fully in the community after four years of life within it allowing her to fully realise their story on screen (with no holds barred). An important movie for LGBTIQ youth worldwide to watch; an important movie to watch no matter what. It helps that is very good.
(It would be an oversight not to mention this films connection to 'Paris is Burning'. 'Kiki' is different. It's youthful and current; an equally valid film in its own right.)
