The Shining

I will always stand by this version. Better adaptation all around. Yes, some of the CGI (which is minimal, btw) is cheesy, but it was a TVminiseries in the late 90s. Steven Weber captures the everyman Jack Torrance, and when he goes nuts, it's downright unnerving.
