Climax

random movies that are supposed to be good that I haven’t seen #8/36 Watching this, Seven Samurai, and Rear Window all in the span of like one week is insane. Yeah this is one of the best movies of the last 5 years. Fuck last 10 years. You know what fuck it I do believe this is one of the best movies of all time. Not sure where it would rank up there but top 100 I think. This film is absolutely bonkers Jesus Christ this was an absolute thrill ride. I literally knew nothing about this film going into it and this is one of the best first-viewings I’ve ever had. Non-stop thrill ride, this film literally has everything. Romance, Drama, Action, Horror, Thrills, Mystery, Comedy, like this is the real fucking deal. This also is one of the best edited films I’ve seen in a while simply because it doesn’t try to do anything crazy, and it rarely cuts, unless it is one of those scenes where it cuts between different conversations. The same can NOT be said for this direction/camerawork. This shit is crazy! The shot that follows minutes like 65ish-90ish that never cuts and traverses the entire setting like 50 times is ridiculous! This happens like 3 times!!!! Also the cinematography is killlllllllllerrrrrrrr. The different lighting of each particular room is truly awe striking. The way the vibe so quickly changes as you entire the different lighting of each room is trippy. Can not speak on how realistic the trips are because I’m fucking 14. The acting performances were all around great. Found myself yelling at my TV multiple times in the third act, I won’t spoil what but holy shit this goes off the rails at the end. On that note I was wondering many times throughout the film how they were going to wrap it up, and end the film, and despite the fact that I didn’t absolutely love the ending, it’s pretty good. I’m not a massive fan of that idea, but it was executed well. Also the twist was pretty great. Works as a good mystery that you barely focus on, because if all the crazy shit. Didn’t suspect the culprit but it made enough sense. Anyway easy 10/10 This series is pretty insane like I’ve watched 8 now and the worst was a 9/10 and all the other were 10/10s 😀
