This is by far the most least predictable movie I’ve seen in a hot minute and I loved every second of it despite how nauseous I felt. Between the way the narrative unfolds and the dry, dark humour laced within, it’s incredibly well made.

If I had a nickel for every movie I’ve seen with a blonde Russian spy who is romantically involved with an American I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice. Overall, even though the ending was satisfying, the plot was lacking as truly nothing happened. Majority of this film was about a woman being exploited in many ways as she never once had full control of her body or mind. Nudity and rape seem to be the only themes the director relied on to tell the story—as an agent to the state, you’d think they’d teach you how to fight and not just how to have sex against your will. At least in Anna (2019) there were action scenes that were fun to watch.
