Parasite
Parasite with that floating rock? What is this, clown college? Rocks sink! Basic stuff, people!
Density, ever heard of it? How much rock you can cram into a thimble space. Rocks are like tiny brick walls, jammed full of minerals. Super dense, super not good at floating. Water, on the other hand, is all spread out like a bad rumor. Not dense at all. So rocks sink, okay? Like a lead balloon piloted by a narwhal.
Except for pumice, that volcanic crumb bum. It's like a rock that forgot to be a rock and became a sponge instead. Full of air bubbles from when it, you know, exploded out of a volcano. That's why it floats. Like a rock wearing a soggy life jacket made out of air.
This movie rock, though? No way that's pumice. Pumice looks like it got rained on by a thousand bubble baths. This rock? Smooth sailing? More like smooth braining! It wouldn't float a paperclip in a bathtub full of helium.
Look, Parasite, I get it. You gotta impress the critics with your symbolism or whatever. But don't come insulting my intelligence with fake science! Rocks sink. Deal with it. And if you need something to float, maybe try a metaphor that doesn't involve defying the laws of physics. Like, I dunno, a rich family that somehow stays afloat despite being terrible? Just a thought.
