***"The problem is not Tourette's, the problem is that people don't know enough about Tourette's." ** ** ******I Swear*** felt like one of those films thatโs constantly balancing between being really moving and a little too neat for its own good. but honestly, when it worked, it *really* worked. thereโs something so exhausting and heartbreaking about watching someone constantly misunderstood by the world around them, especially over something they canโt control. what kept me invested was how human it felt in the smaller moments. the awkward silences, the embarrassment, the anger, the weird humor that slips through even during the worst moments. **Robert Aramayo** carries the whole thing so naturally that even when the film gets a bit sentimental, you still believe him completely. i do think it pushes the โcrowd-pleaserโ angle a little hard sometimes, and there were moments where i wished it trusted the story enough to be quieter. but overall itโs sincere in a way thatโs hard to dislike. recommended by ***@gonyel***
