I was looking through some things and found a DVD my dad had of A Perfect Circle and it's one of the best things I've ever seen. The aesthetic of the music videos is perfect and very bizarre. The video for "The Outsider" is truly bizarre. It reminded me of Death Proof and Planet Terror at times. I absolutely love A Perfect Circle, and I obviously enjoyed this immensely. Maynard's version of "Imagine" is perfect. It's powerful and carries a very clear message. I'm so happy because they're coming to Chile this year!!! The tracklist is: 1- Judith 2- 3 Libras 3- Weak And Powerless 4- The Outsider 5- Thinking Of You 6- Counting Bodies Like Sheeps To The Rhythm Of The War Drums 7- Blue 8- The Noose 9- Imagine (Maynard's Version) I know it's not a movie but I needed to share this.

***"Should pale death, with treble dread, make the ocean caves our bed, God who hears the surges roll deign to save our suppliant soul"*** The best movie I could have watched before going to sleep. The Lighthouse is a visually stunning torture that journeys through the distorted minds of two tormented men, forced to keep each other company in the solitude of a lighthouse, far removed from society, far from the noise of the world, yet seemingly closer to all its problems. It's a film that explores how loneliness transforms into madness and how madness is capable of destroying absolutely everything. The narrative is constructed in a very particular way, following a very specific rhythm. The most important dialogues take place at night, and through these dialogues and their evolution as the film progresses, we see how the characters we were initially introduced to are no longer the same. The sounds, the music, and the sets are spectacular. They help build the mysterious and unsettling atmosphere that characterizes the film. Every shot is perfect. It not only lets us see the surroundings, but through glances and gestures, the image allows us to enter the minds of the protagonists. I love how the film handles the information it presents, making us, as viewers, also feel the loneliness, questioning what we've seen and heard. The madness of The Lighthouse affects not only its characters but its audience as well. It's a film that explores how the mind can abandon the body, and how the body can destroy itself without the mind.
