Hamnet
oh my GOD... this movie finally came to a theatre near me thank GOD so i was literally so happy to be able to see it in theatres, and genuinely nothing could've prepared me for how emotionally heavy this movie is. first of all, it's directed so beautifully i couldn't believe it. i was sitting there completely in awe of the whole thing :') i love eternals that's also directed by chloé, and this was just as beautiful. the scenery matched with the score was so amazing. i held it together until the whole ending scene where agnes reaches her hand out to hamlet on stage and then everyone else around her does the same thing, it truly gutted me and i cried so hard that i thought i was actually going to have a stroke and i'm being so serious. bawled through the whole end credits and the entire way home. this movie truly made me feel things that i've never felt for a movie before and i can't stop thinking about it. jessie buckley's performance was outstanding and so was this whole cast!!! her and paul mescal's dynamic was so well done. jacobi jupe's acting was so impressive, he was SO great. also loved seeing noah jupe on the big screen again, i've liked him for so long and i love the much deserved appreciation he's getting. literally a cast full of such incredible actors. this is one of those movies that remind me why i'm so in love with cinema. so devastating and haunting. hamnet and chloé zhao i WILL get you that oscar.
