Brokeback Mountain

OH MY GOD I LOVE BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN! I can’t express how much I love this. It’s such a sad, beautiful, depressing complex story, it explores so much territory on how oppressed gay people were in the 60s and even up to this day. The scenery was remarkably beautiful, it was such an emotionally immersive experience, you could feel where both characters were coming from, and follow their struggles.  The end was so sad, I teared up when ennis heard Jack had died. Heath ledger was incredible in this, a way different role from joker, it really shows his acting skills and how talented he was. It’s so sad that heath ledger died, It broke my heart to hear about the story of his death. We lost a legend.  Jake Gyllenhaal was also amazing, he portrayed his character perfectly, making you feel all his emotions, and his hurt when Ennis couldn’t give all his heart to him. I need to re watch this as soon as possible. I have a feeling I’ll love it even more a second time! Overall this movie is a masterpiece, a heart-wrenching story and also beautiful at the same time. I’d give this a 10/10 and I think it’s now one of my favourites of all time
