i love period dramas!! Unfortunately, although i’ve got the book on my bookshelf since last year, i haven’t had the opportunity to read it yet. Still, I found the movie absolutely wittiful and enjoyable. I didn’t quite like how harriet looked like on the verge of tears in almost every scene, i’m not sure if they did that on purpose, but it was maddening. Anya Taylor-Joy did a wonderful job with Emma and I felt her at every moment. As I said, I still haven’t read the book, so I clearly had no idea what was going to happen, but I soulfully prayed for Knightley and Emma to end up together. Maybe it was just me, but their relationship development reminded me of Cher and Josh from Clueless! I also loved that almost every dress was adapted beautifully to each scenery, in both color and delicacy.
