Heat
Heat is masterclass in tension
The way micheal mann handles the tense scenes itself standsout on its own btw not only this film has very chilling blood boiling scenes the dinner scene is the greatest scene of all time you cant convince me either al pacino and Robert de niro iconic talk in this scene potrays realism very perfect two goats 🐐🐐 sharing screen together I cant ask for much without these goats this film would have been avrg in my opinion al pacino and Robert de niro legendary faceoff is what makes this film more classical more stylish more aura filled kinda movie.
The shootout scenes felt very real so brilliantly taken particularly the music themes used in this film were so touching to its vibe on its own it's classic for a reason I get it now even nolan said this is a classic one haha.
The colour grading used in this film were so stunning omg I loved it the neon city filled with such an amazing settings keeps the audience eyes wide open i mean i was awestruck by the visuals.
Everyone gave their great performance Not a one flaw this film had fuck no! No chance.
Micheal mann just know how to craft a masterful goated film
To be honest I dont want this upcoming remake because idk if the heat remake can even touch this level of vibe and perfection like this film does.
But im looking forward to it because of christan bale my man and leonardo dicaprio the great gonna share the screen I'll watch it anyways haha two modern day legendary actors who can nail any role so let's see when the remake releases.
Neither way Heat 1995 the this is the og It's absolutely worth to re-watch this anytime what a treat it was.
No other Faceoff in a film looked this tense filled atmosphere with tremendous psychological character study for the protogonist side characters and the antagonist side characters it will feel slow burn for a reason obviously.
I didn't even knew Natalie portman acted in this film i was like wow Natalie portman in it like that and then she become one of the greatest actresses of all time.
And this film also shows the toxic dynamics around divorce the way it affects the innocent children around the psychological battle and pain is real and it potrayed in a touch of an emotional way.
The music was magical especially in the climax the climax was just unbelievable.
Cant believe micheal corleone from godfather and james Conway from goodfellas is now in a cop and criminal character lol.
"Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner."
What a metaphorical dialogue said by Neil beautifully potrays the climax chase scene before itself.
Hatsoff micheal mann 💯.
On my top 4.
