Shame
Im speechless tbh but I'll write what i exactly felt by this film .
Okay
So shame 2011 carries a different level of loneliness that is disturbing at the same time it forces the audience to be in the pov of Micheal fassbender character (brandon) in this movie it's like the pain the inner struggles he faces how it's trapped him we can see it raw and real the director decided to not to shy away and it shows how sexual addiction affects ppl private lives and their mind and it mainly focuses on the distrubing truth about porn addiction the way it shows the rawness is Fuckin insane work. Not gonna lie i was an porn addict too like the way exactly the protagonist suffers in this film the portrayal is made my mind and soul both shattered infact I felt emotionally so weak . I was staring at the ceiling after i finished watching the film it's just indescribable.
I was in shame too but I moved on from the habit of porn addiction im still trying my best to be a better person than I was yesterday in everything honestly so this film felt personal to me as i said im moving on slowly from my past habits hope one day I'll be a comple different a new version of myself i needed this movie as a painkiller .
Another harsh point from this movie is the cause of sexual addiction it directly shows no one shown in this way how ppl slowly lose themselves like a some kinda self destruction how they lose the emotional connection to ppl we can see it in the protagonist subconscious ness . And that anger scene he felt in the very last scene is the pain he carried and the climax scene is one of the best and emotionally destroying scenes ever directed . the way brandon cries carrying his lust, anger, frustration, hurt, guilt, Trauma is just tragedy way of showing his pain and letting rain wash all his past mistakes was just.. i have no words for it.
And the final stare of Micheal fassbender numb + acceptance kinda look fourth wall break shows that we all have no choice no matter what we did in our past or will do in our future we'll always have to move on from everything even though it's hard but never impossible that's all.
Perfect in a psychological uncensored way
So remarkable 🤧💯🎬.
