I really look up to annabelle because she never gives up. her persistence is so inspiring.

this year, marvel had thunderbolts and now dc has superman. wow just wow to be honest, when I first saw the poster for the new superman movie, I immediately thought "really, another reboot?". I was pretty skeptical. I grew up with Henry Cavill's superman so walking into the movie, I had low expectations. I can fully admit that I was wrong about what to expect. this movie was perfect. the casting was a 10/10. I mean, Nicholas Hoult as lex luthor?? he played a better villain than Jesse Eisenberg. David Corenswet? that man really looks like he does not belong on this earth, in a good way, of course. Rachel Brosnahan was a perfect Lois Lane. she really knew how to embody her. the cinematography was a 10/10. some shots really had me staring at the screen in awe. the way James gunn incorporated lots of slow motion shots was amazing. superman saving the girl in slow motion? so good. the action was a 10/10. the stunt team did an amazing job. for a second, I forgot I was watching a movie and not some video game walkthrough. not once did I think it was overdone. the engineer was also an amazing character. I loved her fighting soooo much. the plot was a 10/10. I tried to come up with any plot holes that I found but I really could not because there aren't any imo. It was a satisfyingly well-written plot. I love the addition of krypto. superman crashing out over him was the funniest thing ever. and the after credits scene?? I almost teared up. I walked out of the theatre with a surprising hope for humanity. I had so many favorite scenes but one that really stood out to me was when lois was talking to superman in his apartment and the justice gang? were fighting the dimensional monster. I was laughing my ass off the whole time. they did a great job showing that superheroes fighting weird monsters is so normal to everyone on screen. I could just imagine someone in metropolis commuting to work at 7am and there is just superman fighting this big monster and crashing into buildings but they don't bat an eye to it. the only critique I can really think of is green lantern (except it is just a specific preference I have). that was NOT my green lantern. granted I only watched the cartoon growing up. so to me, when I think of green lantern, my mind immediately goes to Hal Jordan who I had a crush on and thought was so attractive (at the age of like 7). nevermind, that was just something that I was sad about but it's fine cause I did not want to know who they would cast as Hal Jordan anyway (especially after they already casted Ryan Reynolds as green lantern once (which WTF?? I never watched that movie and never will because NO?? green lantern in the comics is soo much hotter than Ryan REYNOLDS?? and Blake lively is in the movie too?)). sorry idk why I'm ranting about green lantern. back to the movie. the ending??? I could have not asked for a better ending. I love that they said they would play the video of his parents and so we expect the superman bots to play the video of his kryptonian parents but instead it was a montage of him as a kid and his human parents. amazing way to end it. the song they chose to end it all with was a nice cherry on top.
