So freaking meta! This movie has left me a with an indescribable desire for a GMC truck :D

Louis Theroux’s interview style is still as great as ever however it felt as though this subject deserves an even further investigation. I also find that as this is the first project Louis has done with Netflix I am missing the stripped back editing approach of his bbc documentaries. This project has been filled with the standardised Netflix graphics and slo mo shots which I feel take away from the gravity of the situation. You aren’t able to sit in the uncomfortable conversations in the same way that you can in other works. In this project you will hear someone saying something deplorable whilst being bombarded by ten different images all with numerous filters applied on top. This doesn’t allow the viewer to fully process what is happening and in some cases almost seems to glorify the subjects of the doc.
