escapism, complacency and outrage embodied in 3 characters feels kinda like a quote as a movie but the quote was pretty enough to suffice visually appealing even with the mono look i love hubert’s character and i love the old man monologue as the outside figure who shows up to say something metaphorical

there’s so much to say how did he actually work an underlying commentary on western culture and greed and class into a comedy turned thriller visually symmetrical and almost scientifically appealing, not my favorite but close to it so much connections, bookends, ambiguity, great lines and subtleties within them, i could go on
