X-Men: First Class

god this is still my favourite film ever. yes i can acknowledge some inconsistencies (cough cough darwin dying cough cough) but honestly it feels like the comics in such a real way. yes it’s mutants in the cuban missile crisis but damn it’s such a good prequel. i live for some good montages and the recruiting and training ones do make you happy. vaughn does a pretty good job with magnetos backstory and the role of mutants in general all with the varying attitudes etc etc. the soundtrack is great, i have many of the songs on my playlists and there are some beautiful shots in this. i love.
