Friday the 13th
The Friday the 13th franchise has a general reputation for being bad. And it makes sense, most of the movies are filled with bad acting and pointless nudity. So I went in expecting exactly that, but to my surprise, it was shockingly good. Bad acting and pointless nudity can be found in the film, but it's at it's lowest in this first part. The score is suspensful and the iconic "ki ki ki ma ma ma" plays spectaculary throughout the movie. The acting ranges from good to bad, but I would say it's fairly decent. And lets not forget Betsy Palmer, while she is the forgotten killer in this first film she does a wonderful job at portraying a mother who lost her son and then goes on a killing spree. I am very passionate about this movie, but I'm not blind to the bad parts. The series will go on to make 11 more movies. I am both scared and exicted to watch them all.
