The New Pope

i really really enjoyed watching this, the different intros were chefs kiss!! a vatican soap opera is what i wanted from young/new and a vatican soap opera is what i GOT!!  i think i liked this a little more than the young pope, but i think that just boils down to characters. i found myself attached to more of the characters.  now spoiler warning obviously but im giving my conclusive thoughts on the characters i care about as of just finishing both shows without letting it simmer lenny- i don’t know how to describe him other than being the dr house of popes. he is such an entertaining character to watch and i love mean autistic mfs  gutierrez- one of my favorite guys and im so happy he was in both!!!! poor guy absolutely fumbled the bag with assente, john paul, AND that twink he was seeing😭 but i love his character so very much he was so down bad for both pius AND john paul i swear to god.  john - as soon as i saw him in smudged eyeliner i knew he’d be here to serve cunt and he DID. i love pope wokeinator 3000 it’s like they aged up an emo kid by a bajillion years  assente - HE DESERVED BETTER GOD I LOVE HIMMM AUGH MY GOD MY SHAYLA😭 MMY SHAYLA😭 even if he is meant to be more on the sidelines he is so unforgettable and he came to serve cunt. 10/10 no notes i must protect you voiello - interesting character but he kept pissing me OFF!!! not like in a “oh i fucking hate you” way but he was out for everybody’s throats it was INSANE!! GIRL WHO HURT YOU!! GIRL WHAT PAPAL NAME DID YOU CHOOSE cavallo - i’m gonna kill you with rocks  ester - i loved watching this diva descend into madness idk if im just oblivious but the reveal of her being one of the terrorists was genuinely such a twist to me! and i am also glad that they didn’t do any kinda love plot with ester and lenny cause i was like hrmmm but then it didn’t and i was like okay cool!!! rest in peace to my bro dussolier he wasn’t in new cause he’s fucking dead but 😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏
