Pyschological thrillers make me happy. Dakota Johnson and Ryan Reynolds makes me sad.

this was a very enjoyable movie in the first two acts. The acting, set design and recreation of Michael’s iconic moments is done very well. It feels kind of like a glorified music video and a tribute to Michael, but the third act feels out of place and overall the story lacks depth…it feels like it was taken from Wikipedia. I had a good time and I’m hoping they can dance away from the music and dive deeper into Michael’s mind and character for the second movie.

there’s something very oddly heartwarming and real about this movie that’s hard to explain. I really wish we could see more movies with Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena because their chemistry is amazing.
