i can't lie i shed a few tears, this movie beautifully encapsulated mental health struggles, especially after living sexual assault as a teenager. the sadness, the emptiness, the progressive loneliness and guilt slowly making you believe that it was your fault, that you were the problem. i loved it from beginning to end, the colors, the sounds- or maybe more the silence, the flashbacks, it felt as if my life was projected in front of me. the ending, oh my god. the anger of understanding that you were not supposed to live this, and the hope. the hope of a better life, of a healed heart, soul, and mind, the hardest thing to achieve but this movie gives hope, it gives hope to whoever isn't able yet to reach out and help themselves, it shows how being trusted can change a life and unblock you from living your life, better late than never.
