Everything about this film is amazing. Kubrick crafts a replica of the modern UK and it’s corrupt, scheming politicians whilst also exploring what makes monsters so evil. McDowells performance is exquisite and is a rival to Nicholson’s portrayal of insanity in *The Shining. *The grotesque, ultra violent sequences are silly, and eccentric. Perhaps, Kubrick is trying to suggest that society often views these violent blockbusters with excitement. Whereas, in reality, we should be revolted - Kubrick manages to display Alex’s sadism, as well as his youth. Overall, this was a superb film - I’ve only a few films left of Kubrick's to watch.

I enjoyed this less that most Spielberg films. It just felt a bit unpolished and rushed. Despite that, the performances were great.
