Tip Toe
Tonight me and my mother sat down and binged a series. A very challenging and hard hitting one. Before you ask I have not seen It’s A Sin. I’m contemplating on it, but I’m honestly just a bit worn out with this!
Tip Toe was honestly one of the most harrowing pieces of tv I have seen in a very long time. It shows cruelty, abuse, violence, most of all hate and shame. I think what I find interesting is that the series was actually really entertaining. After seeing the opening I was a bit taken a back, but we pushed through. Into what I can only describe as a shocking and raw finale.
I honestly don’t want to get into spoiler territory though, because it’s really worth a watch. The series grasps you and never let’s go. Holding on tight, sinking its claws into you. Before dropping you off a 300ft tower to the cold hard ground. The neighbour dynamic was funny at first, but extremely tense and suspenseful as each episode went on. I couldn’t help but by each one get closer to the edge of my seat. By the end I was sat in silence questioning. What is the world?
While being honestly brilliant it is brutal. Its topics are tough and the way it goes around them is so…unfiltered. I also give praise to Alan Cumming for being an incredible actor in this. His performance genuinely hurt, but was honestly some of the best I’ve seen from him. Brilliant series, shocking but mirrors the world in many ways.
