Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is the greatest musician to have ever lived, atleast for me. I was introduced to Sufi music through him and without any exaggeration, HE SAVEDDD MYYY LIFEEE!!! mid 2024 to early 2025 was the worst period of my life, i remember my mental health was so fucked up, i constantly felt like i was on the verge of dying. I used to seek peace listening to Yeh Jo Halka Halka Suroor Hai multiple times every single day (mostly the 16 min version recorded in Dorchester Hotel and another, 2003 remastered 19 min version) I cannot articulate it properly but there's some otherworldly connection with his voice that puts me into a trance, I am not even a religious person nor do I care if god exists or not but listening to his music has been the closest I've ever felt the presence of a divine entity

started with a peak opening scene but went downslope crazy, enjoyed the editing and there were some cool scenes here and there but some of the characters were so uninteresting, i genuinely couldn't care less (esp the junkie rocknrolla guy). even the usual Guy Ritchie humour was also hit or miss. And i still have no idea what was happening in the ending lmao

the title was referring to the sexual tension between Al Pacino and De Niro
