Kaleidoscope
The anxiety I get knowing I probably didn’t watch this in the best order is crazy.
Kaleidoscope was a very unique way of story telling and I’m sure like many others, that’s what lured me to it. While the idea is very intriguing, I don’t think it works - at least for me.
If you know the climax and twist before a story can develop, you’re left unsatisfied with every other episode/plot point. You know which stories matter and which don’t. It became a chore to watch my final last episodes because I already knew what was going to happen.
Apologies for more negatives but I also thought the plot was super basic. Like the whole concept of the vault was very cool, but everything else felt unoriginal. The acting was also just okay. But, here are the positives! The cinematography and this shows aesthetic were like eye candy, I loved it. There are moments in this show that were truly very emotional and thought provoking, and they made me fall in love with some characters.
I feel like what I said was harsh because I actually did have fun watching this but ya know 🤷♂️
