Pan's Labyrinth
Me thinking I'm about to watch a quirky fantasy movie: 😃
Me after watching this gruesome, fight against faciscm, horror masterpiece: 😃 😃
I am a fool for underestimating how good this film was going to be. I've been putting it off for years now but tonight my gut said do it. I can already tell that Pan's Labyrinth is a film I will not stop thinking about for days/weeks/years. This was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The animation, costume design, makeup, and score are otherworldly. Like are you kidddinggg meeee. Captain Vidal (Sergi López) is a top 5 villain of all time. I fucking hated that prick from the very first scene we saw him in. Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) was terrific as well. I'm having a hard time finding any flaws with this movie - I genuinely adored it.
