The Broken Circle Breakdown
Amazon Prime could not of put their ads at worse times. I'm there fucking crying and then boom, a stuffed dog is half off during a flash sale. Like what the fuck 😭
The Broken Circle Breakdown deals with intense themes, but there is an undeniable sense of warmth in its portrayal of how we cling to love and find solace in the smallest of moments. Even when facing the darkest of times, we still look up to the sky. This movie was one of the first films I ever put on my watchlist. My sick fucking ass knew how to spot the heartbreakers even in my early days. Evidently, I'm very stingy with my 5/5 ratings, so before I decided to watch this film, I thought there was no chance it would be as beautiful as it was... boy, was I wrong. Johan Heldenbergh and Natacha Régnier's chemistry was both tender and tragic. I adore when portrayals of love feel so authentic, and that only happens with spectacular acting. I mean, this truly is a beautiful, bittersweet story that will leave a lasting impact on me—not because it’s a tearjerker, but because it captures the profound complexities of life and love with such honesty and tenderness. That being said, I think I cried on six different occasions.
