Waking Madison
Waking Madison is one of my alltime favourite movies. I still can remember watching it for the first time and all of the feelings i had.
I was so enthusiastic that i rewatched it after finishing.
Especially remarkable is that Waking Madison does not use a mental condition to create an "alter ego", which is either a criminal or some sort of strange genie. Instead they show in some artsy way how Madison is suffering. The different identities dont talk to each other, but this shows the chaos in the head, in which every personality has a certain type of task to help Madison with her trauma and to live. I really like the way mental issues were portrayed. It was way more realistic how much pain you have, than in other movies.
The plottwist at the end was quite surprising and the atmosphere which was framed is at some point very strange and disturbing, but also aesthetically, which helped the dramatic.
Overall a very good movie.
