My favorite episode of the Twilight Zone.
In all seriousness, I had this at three stars the first time I saw it cause for whatever reason, 17 years old me was stupid. This movie rocks. I love M. Night’s theme of reconnecting with your faith, learning to trust God again. I love the way he builds this story around 4 characters trapped in a house amidst an alien invasion. I love how he frames shots and moves the camera.I love that this doesn’t hold back. It’s funny, it’s warm, it’s tense and slightly frightening at times, and it might be the most beautiful film he’s done thematically.
