Ratatouille

Absolute banger. Ratatouille is EASILY one of, if not the best, animated films ever made. I got goosebumps countless times, which says a lot for a film rated ages 6 and up. Ratatouille is the benchmark for a standalone animated film, and I really hope they don’t mess up the sequel. Some things are better left untouched. 💔 So many technical aspects are nailed perfectly. The soundtrack suits Paris extremely well, the plot is fully engaging throughout the near two hour runtime, and the beautiful cinematography is at times mouth watering. Genuinely, where did it all go wrong for Pixar. They were on such a great run in the early 2000s but their recent releases have been targeted towards literal fetuses. If Gatto isn't good when it releases in 2027 I might of lost hope for the future of the animation studio.
