Obsession

Outstanding! Haven’t been genuinely rattled by a horror movie like that in a long time, that was the type of fear I haven’t felt since I was an innocent little kid when I had nightmares after seeing The Witches (1990). The concept of this movie is not super novel but the execution is superb. There is no beating around the bush, just enough about the characters and setting is established before things start to happen and then just don't stop happening. There are so many juicy tidbits of information seamlessly woven into the stories natural progression giving most of the scenes duel purposes, it never felt like it was detouring for exposition or dragging for unnecessary over explaining. It left me with unanswered questions about the world building of this mysterious wish factory but that didn't detract from the story in the slightest, in fact it strengthened it. I was left with a lasting sense of excitement for a long time afterwards. I'm still thinking about it and theorising on my own which I want more movies to do.
