Annihilation

A tremendous concept to depict natures superiority aswell as a modernised take on alien life. Lenas story changing from a romantic and grieving plot into more supernatural and horrifying is an admirable change in tone and genre. Her determination to Kane is as beautiful as the visuals and music. While the film has an eerie atmosphere it is still vastly enjoyable and unique, the use of CGI in this film is balanced and astonishingly well done, leading to a detailed view of the illusive and deadly shimmer, aided with convincing and dedicated portrayals of the characters from all the actors.
