*“Where do you wanna go? Wherever you wanna take me.” * The plots of the first half were so enthralling and Cop 223 is so real so it absolutely destroyed me at first when I realized they were switching characters and stories half way through, but I absolutely understand the decision to do that thematically. That being said, the second they started playing the Cranberries they got me hooked on Faye and Officer 663.  Wong Kar-wai just doesn’t know how to miss when it comes to crafting melancholic, beautifully shot films above love and the fleeting moments of life.
