Hallow Road
This film was absolutely amazing. I loved how it was mostly shot in the car with the parents driving and I was on the edge of my seat all the way through, it was so tense and I kept wanting to know what happens in the end. I did quite like how it was an open for interpretation ending, but I do think that it could have been done better. Why I think this is because in the end it is revealed that the police believe that the parents had almost like a dual hallucination due to stress and grief. Some speculations on this ending I've seen are that the parents got to the scene of their daughter dead on the road, went home in shock, then had this dual hallucination as to not blame themselves. Some say that they accidently got in a car crash with their own daughter. Others believe in the woods having this magical and mythic curse or creatures lurking in there. I believe this ending as let's say that she did die at the start and had been dead all along as someone ran her off the road or crashed into her (could have even dragged her out of the car and murder her), how would her parents know where to go? The daughter called them and said where she was. Her phone calls where too detailed in my opinion to be hallucinations or anything of that sort. I believe that the strange woman and man where skin walkers or some type of imitating creature that imitated normal people and that the girl the daughter (alice) killed was a girl that was running away from the strange parents as that's why they were there in the middle of woods said so by the parents and police. If she had died all along, if you pay close attention to the daughters car there is a broken window as we hear on the phone call happen by the strange couple when alice tries to escape the situation by trying to drive out of the ditch. All of this left me quite confused and I had to look up what happened in the end. But still it is an incredible movie. No matter how you see the ending, the film was so incredibly crafted and I will definitely be re-watching.
