The second Tim Roth showed up to solve the car crash killing I knew this was a dud. Richard Gere has one of the craziest good actor to bad movie ratios surely?

Julia is so magnetic here I def enjoyed more than the first time I saw it, but has all the usual Marshall problems and needs to be 30% more *What’s Up Doc *in its energy. Kinda never lets Gere off the leash. This made over a billion dollars adjusted for inflation.

Found this very dull, but the bit where the guy falls to his death was pretty fun.

Marshall has a unique ability to make his characters and relationships so generic and hard to latch onto. There’s a lot of *Mr Deeds* in the dynamic here but Julia can’t decide if she’s doing a rural hick thing or not. As a result, Joan Cusack is the only element I will reflect fondly upon.
