mid90s
I just knew it was a top tier film right when the instrumental from new slaves by kanye started playing.
A really cool but also sad film. Sad that Stevie loses his innocence like that but this film is hard asf. The way they shoot it in the 4:3 ratio, represents the 90’s so well. You really can’t tell that this movie is released in 2018. I loved the experimental filmmaking.
Ray a chill guy fr and I would appreciate a friend like him.
Stevie deserved better man and especially the brother punching him and all. The scene in the end with the orange juice portrayed the growth well.
The way the mother looks when she walks into that hospital and sees all these guys sleeping. You really can’t hate her, nor the gang (besides Ruben cuz he just annoying)
Only negative: I wish they filmed more of the others to go more into depth of their lives (but I get that this film was all about sunburn)
